Administrative and biographical history: Mr Parfitt was a member of the Parfitt family from Llandrindod Wells, who were partners in the firm of Hurst and Parfitt, Chemists. He was a member of the Army Historical Research Society, the Military Historical Society and the Military Heraldry Society. He undertook extensive research on the Radnorshire Militia, organising an exhibition in the Radnorshire Museum, of uniforms and memorabilia. He edited 'Radnorshire Volunteers : a regimental history of Radnorshire 1539-1968'.
Scope and content: Photographs and articles on the history of the Radnorshire Militia and successor battalions. Photographs from the exhibition in the Radnorshire Museum.
