Administrative and biographical history: Clywedog Reervoir was built, between 1965-1967, to regulate the flow of water in the River Severn - to prevent flooding lower down the river at times of high rainfall, and to ensure a flow of water in the event of drought.
Scope and content: 1 bound roll of plans and sections of Clywedog reservoir, prepared by Sir William Halcrow & Partners, Consultant Engineers, for discussion in Parliament, 1962/63. 1 book of reference.

Archival history: The documents were in the possession of Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council, successor council to Shrewsbury Borough Council. They were transferred to Shrewsbury Mueums service at the time of the council's move to new offices at Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury.
