Administrative and biographical history: Pinniger, Finch and Co. were a firm of solicitors based in Westbury, Wiltshire. The Berrow family of Brecon were pewterers during the early 18th century and included John and Matthias Berrow. John Berrow of Bristol (d.1757) married Sarah Rocke (d.1765). They had two daughters; Sarah, married James Bullock of Bristol in c.1767 and Lydia who married Joseph Green of Bristol (d. 1802), a linen draper in 1859. Joseph and Lydia Green had two daughters, Sarah (d.1828) and Lydia (d.1815). Following Sarah Green's death the estate at Modrydd, Llansbyddyd, Brecknockshire, passed to the Rev. Thomas Cooke of Westbury, Wiltshire.
Scope and content: Papers relating to the Berrow and Green families, 1715-1844, including deeds relating to property in Modrydd in Llansbyddyd, Llandegley in Radnorshire, Builth in Brecknockshire and Bristol, 1715-1844; wills, 1726-1764.
