Administrative and biographical history: Monasticon Anglicanum (1655-1673) was a history of the monasteries and other religious institutions of England and Wales compiled by Roger Dodsworth (1585-1654) and Sir William Dugdale (1605-1686).


Scope and content: Photocopies, [20th century], comprising extracts from Dugdale's Monasticon Anglicanum (London, 1849) relating to the Welsh lands of the abbeys of Cwm Hir, Strata Florida, Wigmore, Wormesley; notes from The Victoria Country history of Shropshire, Vol I (1908), relating to Domesday; extract from diary of Robert Corbett of Longnor, Shropshire (1754).
