Administrative and biographical history: Charles I (1600-1649) became king in 1625. His reign was troubled, with political and religious strife culminating in the English Civil War, 1642-1649. Found guilty of treason, Charles was executed 30 January 1649.
Scope and content: Printed books, 1625, 1659, 1714, concerning the Anglican Church and Parliament during the reign of Charles I.
