Administrative and biographical history: James Wilfred Jones (fl. 1915-1974), OBE, of Llangurig, Montgomeryshire, was a councillor on Newtown and Llanidloes Rural District Council. He also became a Justice of the Peace in 1957 and was a member of Cwmbelan Baptist chapel. Walford Wynn-Jones was also a native of Llangurig.
