Administrative and biographical history: Wern British School, Llanbrynmair, Montgomeryshire, opened in about 1872. Following the Education Act 1902 the County Councils became the Local Education Authorities and Wern British School became Wern Council School. The school appears to have closed in 1912 and was subsequently purchased by Daniel Wintringham Stable.
