Administrative and biographical history: Newtown Oddfellows was a friendly society based in Newtown, Montgomeryshire. Nicholas Bennett Owen (fl. 1860-1940) of Trefeglwys, Montgomeryshire, and Dr John Vaughan Owen (1859-1940) of Llanidloes, Montgomeryshire, were the sons of John Owen (died c. 1890) of Penegoes, Montgomeryshire, and Mary Bennett (1826-1860) of Glanyrafon, Montgomeryshire.
Scope and content: Newtown Oddfellows minute book and members list, 1843-1855; pedigree of Nicholas Bennett Owen of Trefeglwys and John Vaughan Owen of Llanidloes, 1922.
