Their second son, Lazarus, succeeded to the estate and married Elizabeth Jones of Woodhill, Shropshire, in 1771. Their heir was Richard Venables (1774-1858), archdeacon of Carmarthen and vicar of Clyro 1811-1846, who married Sophia Lister of Girsby House, Lincolnshire. Their heir was Richard Lister Venales (1809-94), vicar of Clyro and Bettws Clyro, who married firstly, Mary Augusta Dalrymple Adam, daughter of General Alexander Poltaratzky. They toured Russia in 1837-1838. His second wife was Agnes Minna Pearson. His heir from his second marriage was Katherine Minna (b. 1870) who married Charles Leyshon Dillwyn-Llewelyn, 2nd baronet in 1893.
