Administrative and biographical history: The Evans family, of Llanfechain, Montgomeryshire, purchased the houses of Glanbrogan and Domengastell, Llangynidr. The Rev. Edward Evans (1813-1889), vicar of Llanasa and rector of Llanfihangel-yng-Ngwynfa, younger brother of John Evans (1808-1887) married Elizabeth Gould-Pughe, daughter of Richard Pughe and Jane Gould Withy.
Scope and content: Deeds and related legal papers, 1673/4-1921 relating to premises in mainly in Llangynidr, Breconshire; correspondence and personal papers, probably accumulated by Edward Evans and antecedents, 1673-1848; personal and other family items and miscellanea, [17th century]-1945; records relating to the Pughe family of Llanfihangel-y-Pennant, Merionethshire, 1515-1912; and photographs, [c.1880]-1930. There are no papers relating to the Bonnor-Maurice family in the archive.
