Administrative and biographical history: The Apostolic Church originated in Great Britain by James E Worsfold. In Wales Evan Roberts of Loughor played an important role in the Apostolic movement. The development of the Apostolic Church in Wales took place with its headquarters at Penygroes, Ammanford, Carmarthenshire. Other churches in Wales are Aberaman, Abergavenny, Ammanford, Bridgend, Brynmawr, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Cornelly, Cwmavon, Cwmdu, Cwmllynfell,Cymmer, Ebbw Vale, Glynneath, Kidwelly, Llandybie, Llanelli, Llangynwyd, Llwynhendy, Maesteg, Neath, Newport, Pembroke, Penygroes, Pontardawe, Pontardulais, Pontllanfraith, Porth, Rassau, Resolven, Rhyl, Skewen, Swansea, Trealaw, Trecynon, Tumble, Wrexham and Ystradgynlais. There is material relating to the 1904-1905 Revival when there were reports in the press of what meetings were held. The Evening Express and Evening Mail, a Cardiff-based paper, brought out revival editions which consisted of a broadsheet, folded in half, with advertising on the front page, with the two inside pages and the back page dedicated to news of the Revival. There is information of meetings across Wales, England and details of related foreign revival movements, music and words for popular hymns, and pictures of people and places connected with the Revival.
