Administrative and biographical history: The photographs of six colour-washed drawings showing various views of a design for post-war reconstruction are entitled County Borough of Swansea- replanning and reconstruction, preliminary rough sketches, and signed by the Borough Architect Ernest E. Morgan. There are construction drawings for Swansea after the Second World War. The Guildhall was opened in October 1934 in a decade of recession and high local unemployment. It is the civic centre of Swansea.
