Administrative and biographical history: Captain W. H. C. Daniel, of Crediton, Devon, accumulated documents relating to R. J. Lambert, a writer living in the mid 19th century, who in 1845 travelled on the ship Chelydra from Swansea, Glamorgan, to Coquimbgo, Chile. Daniel's solicitors, Walters and Williams, solicitors, of Carmarthen, deposited the material on his behalf.
Scope and content: Papers of R. J. Lambert, 1845-1852, including journal, 1845; poems, 1845-1852; and calendar of the High Sheriffs of Carmarthen, 1818; notebook, [19th century]; and map of Carmarthenshire, 1831.
