Administrative and biographical history: Richard P. Williams (fl. 1805-1837), of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, son of Thomas and Mary Williams, of Glancennen, Llandybie, Carmarthenshire, was a naval surgeon, who served on ships including the H.M.S. Acasta, 1807-1809, and the H.M.S. Achille, 1810-1813. His brother, J. G. Williams, served on H.M.S. Ariel in 1809 and H.M.S. Duncan in 1815.
Scope and content: Documents, 1805-1967, relating mainly to the Williams family of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, including letters to Richard P. Williams, 1807-1813; letters to Dr J. G. Williams, 1814-1823; and newspaper cuttings, 1923-1967.
