Administrative and biographical history: The Weaks and Thomas families lived in Carmarthen from the early 20th century; Mrs H. Weaks (alive 1961), was the daughter of John and Anne Thomas. Her grandmother was Elizabeth Thomas (1822-1919). The families accumulated some earlier printed books and other records.
Scope and content: Family papers of the Thomas and Weaks families of Carmarthen, 1781-1957, including photographs, 1908-1920; newspaper cuttings [early 20th century]; Carmarthen Burial Board receipts, 1914-1925; personal letters, 1915-1947; receipts, 1920-1932; and printed books, 1781-1944.
