Administrative and biographical history: The British Records Association collects records from various sources, mostly London solicitors' offices; most of the parishes in Carmarthenshire are covered, and notable collections cover the Mansell family, Llanfihangel Cil-y-cwm, Llansteffan and Plas Llansteffan, the Church Benefit Society, Lletherllesty/Llethr Llestri, the Lavallin Estate and Berehaven Mines, co Cork, the Puxley family and the Price family of Glangwili.
Scope and content: Deeds and documents of various Carmarthenshire parishes, 1419-1979; the Mansell family, 1582-1854; Cil-y-cwm, 1669-1837; Llanstephan estate, 1419-1887; Church Benefit Society papers, 1929-1934; Puxley of Lletherllesty, Carmarthenshire and Dunboy Castle, Cork, 1602-1910; Pakenham marriage settlement, 1894-1907; and Price of Glangwili, 1845-1914. Also deeds and documents relating to properties in Carmarthen, 1797-1904, mainly in King Street and Spilman Street; Llanelli, 1650-1875; Llangadog, [late 19th century]; Llandeilo Fawr, [n.d]; Llansadwrn, 1709-1835; Myddfai, 1734-1751; Llandovery, 1787-; Llanfynydd, 1817-1857; Trimsaran Estate map and Schedule, 1809; and copy marriage settlement of George Rice and Cecil Talbot, 1756.
