Name of creator(s): Lewis Jones
Administrative and biographical history: Lewis Jones (1835-1915), 'Rhuddenfab', was a printer, poet and journalist. He was born in Llanfwrog, Ruthin, Denbighshire, and was apprenticed to a local printing office in 1845. He competed as a poet at eisteddfodau. Among his publications was Rhuddenfab's hand-book to Ruthin in the Vale of Clwyd (Ruthin, 1896). He died on 19 April 1915.
Scope and content: Papers of 'Rhuddenfab', 1831-1909, including a diary, 1874; letters, 1880; financial records, 1866-1881; printed material, 1843-1901; notes, 1881; Welsh poetry, 1882 and [n. d.]; and Ruthin and Llanfwrog Sunday School teachers' minutes, 1831-1836.
