Administrative and biographical history: The county of Flintshire falls within the Diocese of St Asaph and consists of over fifty ecclesiastical parishes, including Dyserth (also called Diserth). The records of individual ecclesiastical parishes in Flintshire include registers of baptisms, marriages and burials, as well as records of the churchwardens and Parochial Church Councils, parish charities, schools, clubs and societies. Parish records were deposited at the Clwyd Record Office, following an agreement of 1976 between the Church in Wales and the Welsh County Councils. Following a decision by the Church in Wales to group parish collections by deanery, the records were transferred to Denbighshire Record Office in June 2009


Scope and content: Registers, 1602-1974; service registers, 1935-1972; churchwarden's accounts, 1828-1851; Easter vestry minutes. 1907-1962; Parochial Church Council records, 1913-1961; vestry records, 1836-1877; school records, 1904-1945; and records of church organisations, 1864-1957.
